I'm just back from a wee break in Costa Rica and lucky enough to spot several sloths in the wild and learn more about these incredible creatures. Contrary to belief, sloths are not the laziest animals in the world, they are in fact the most efficient, it's true! Despite having a very slow metabolism—it takes 1 week to digest 1 leaf via their 4 stomachs - hence they move so slowly from day to day. But when the time comes to perform, they use up all their reserved energy and can actually move stealth like and clamber up a tree as fast a monkey! So if you have yet to complete your tax return, don't give yourself too much of a hard time, you have clearly been channeling your inner sloth, biding your time, and still have the time and ability to be super efficient and meet the deadline!
