Both Full and Part-Time Roles Available.

Location: 5 St. Bride Street, London, EC4A 4AS, flexibility for the right candidate

Salary: £40k to £50k Depending on Experience+ Potential for Profit Share for right candidate

Contract: Permanent, full time or part-time depending on experience

We are looking for experienced practice accountant(s), who have at least five years of practice experience.

You will be:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ICAEW/AFA/CIOT/AAT) with five-plus years’ of experience

  • Solution-focused: seek solutions and act fast to the business & client needs to go above and beyond clients’ expectations.

  • A Leader – have ambition to take over and lead the technical and operation functions of a growing Practice

  • Confidence to work with Business Partners to help with the growth and direction of the Practice. We view this as financially beneficial for both the applicant and the Practice.

  • Commercially minded: experience of working with businesses from a variety of sectors and industries and recognise the needs and wants of different client segments.

  • A self-starter: must be organised and be able to prioritise your own workload.

  • An excellent communicator: Able to communicate confidently and coherently with clients and teammates alike.

  • Proficient in using QuickBooks, Xero and Excel – knowledge of other software such as TaxCalc would also be beneficial.

Key duties

  • Senior Accountant highly experienced in delivering small and micro companies Accounts and Corporation Tax Returns

  • Managing a portfolio of clients for whom you will take ownership of producing monthly, quarterly, and yearly deliverables and maintaining the client relationship.

  • Preparation and review of Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies

  • Preparation and review of Self-Assessment Tax Returns for Sole Traders, Rental Property Income, Individuals and Partnerships

  • Preparation, review, and submission of VAT Returns

  • Provision of client-focused support including client meetings

  • Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between clients/visitors/enquirers and staff and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person

  • Training and mentoring junior members of staff

  • Ensure that all regulatory and compliance checks are in place
