The grant will account for 35% of the purchase price for these large vans, up to a maximum of £6,000.
Taxis
Purpose built taxis must have CO2 emissions of less than 50g/km and must be able to travel at least 70 miles without any emissions at all.
The grant will account for 20% of the purchase price for these taxis, up to a maximum of £7,500.
Trucks
Qualifying trucks must have between 3,500kg and 12,000kg gross weight. They must have CO2 emissions of at least 50% less than the equivalent conventional Euro VI vehicle that can carry the same capacity.
They must be able to travel at least 60 miles without any emissions whatsoever.
The grant will cover 20% of the purchase price, capped at £16,000. This grant will be available for the first 250 orders placed.
However, grants at the £16,000 rate are restricted to 10 grants per customer.
Once the 250 order limit is reached, a maximum grant rate of only £6,000 per vehicle will apply.
